NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS(NYSC ) HAS POSTPONED THE THREE-WEEK BATCH A ORIENTATION

 The three-week programme, earlier scheduled to begin on march 30, would commence on April 27.The management asked prospective corps members to dismiss messages requesting them to go and check their states of deployment online

The management wishes to inform prospective corps members that posting to states of deployment has not commenced, but will be done at the appropriate time in line with our laid-down processes. The link being sent to prospective corps members is the handiwork of cyber criminals and should therefore be disregarded.

Prospective corps members are particularly warned not to make payments for posting or change of posting as that is clearly the motive of the cyber criminals

Furthermore, the NYSC boss who stated at the opening ceremony of NYSC 2016 batch A pre-orientation workshop in katsina on Wednesday, February 24 added that about 26 states were yet to pay a backlog of allowance to serving corps members with some owing about 2 years arrears, he noted that failure by state to pay monthly allowance to corps members did not portray a good image as the allowance was a statutory responsibility.
